The Findlay Educational Trail
The nine habitats of the Findlay Educational Trail are home to our Wildlife Ambassadors, animals whose injuries prevent them from being released. Located in a beautiful hammock area of our sanctuary, the walking trail winds among the natural habitats housing owls, hawks, osprey, various water birds, squirrels and skunks. A docent-led tour is part of our children's educational programming and provides information on each species and their importance to Florida's environment. At this time, tours of the Findlay Educational Trail are available by appointment only in conjunction with our children's educational programming. Please contact contact Terry Timberlake to schedule a program. The Findlay Educational Trail was made possible by a grant from the Episcopal Church of Bethesda-by-the-Sea, and is sponsored by Comerica, Florida Power & Light, Publix and Searcy Denney Scarola Barnhart & Shipley, P.A. |
